Bürgergeld soll zur Grundsicherung werden

Die Bundesregierung will das Bürgergeldsystem zu einer neuen Grundsicherung umgestalten. Wer arbeiten kann, soll künftig schneller in Arbeit vermittelt werden. Wer dabei nicht mitwirkt, muss mit Konsequenzen rechnen.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
