Als Antwort auf die laufende Reformdebatte zeigt der Paritätische Gesamtverband in einem neuen Vorschlagspapier, wie der Sozialstaat effizienter und gerechter werden kann, ohne Benachteiligte zu belasten.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
