1,7 Millionen Erwerbslose und 3,2 Millionen Personen in Stiller Reserve

Im Jahr 2025 wünschten sich in Deutschland fast 4,9 Millionen Nichterwerbstätige im Alter von 15 bis 74 Jahren Arbeit, das waren gut 240 000 Personen oder 5,2 % mehr als im Vorjahr.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
