Viele Industriebetriebe stecken tief in der Krise, vor allen Dingen im Autobau gingen im vergangenen Jahr viele Jobs verloren. Doch es gibt auch Sektoren, in denen die Geschäfte besser laufen.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
