Neue Grundsicherung statt Bürgergeld – das wollen Union und SPD ändern

Verhandler von Union und SPD haben sich auf Änderungen beim Bürgergeld verständigt. Das betrifft nicht nur den Namen. So soll der Vermittlungsvorrang wieder gelten, Sanktionen werden verschärft. Doch es gibt auch strittige Punkte.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
