Bremer Jobcenterchef: Bürgergelderhöhung ist „dringend erforderlich“

Jeder siebte Bremer ist auf Geld vom Jobcenter angewiesen. Aus Sicht von Thorsten Spinn, Geschäftsführer des Jobcenter Bremen deckt das Bürgergeld auch künftig nur das Existenzminimum ab. Warum Menschen arbeitslos sind – und was Hoffnung macht.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
