Heil nimmt Unternehmen und Gesellschaft in die Pflicht

Arbeitsminister Heil wirbt in Indien um Fachkräfte. Aber vor allen Dingen müssen wir die inländischen Potenziale heben. Ungefähr 1,6 Millionen Menschen zwischen 20 und 30 haben in Deutschland keine abgeschlossene Berufsausbildung.

Das Schicksal teilt ungerecht aus; und es gleicht die Ungerechtigkeiten nicht immer aus. Hier hat der Sozialstaat seine Aufgabe. Er sorgt dafür, dass der Mensch reale, nicht nur formale Chancen hat. …

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
