Bürgergeld: Was ist geplant und wer kann die Leistung abrufen?

Ab dem Jahr 2022 hält mit dem Bürgergeld ein weiterer Begriff Einzug in den Sprachgebrauch. Dieses soll an die Stelle des bisherigen Arbeitslosengeld II, besser bekannt unter Hartz IV, treten und Bedürftigen zur Verfügung stehen.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
