Arbeitgeber des Produzierenden Gewerbes und wirtschaftlicher Dienstleistungen in Deutschland haben im Jahr 2020 durchschnittlich 36,70 Euro für eine geleistete Arbeitsstunde bezahlt.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
