Jüngere bilden sich eher weiter

Rund ein Fünftel der älteren Arbeitnehmer sagt: Weiterbildung ist in der derzeitigen Krise für sie unwichtiger geworden. Damit verschärft Corona die Kluft zwischen Jung und Alt.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
