Ökonomen rechnen mit starken neuen Einbußen

Der neue Lockdown könnte unzählige Jobs kosten, erwarten Arbeitsmarktforscher. Auch die Sorge bei Beschäftigten vor lang anhaltenden finanziellen Einbußen hat zugenommen.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
