Für Geringverdienende lohnt sich Arbeit zu wenig

Für Alleinstehende mit Niedriglohn ist es finanziell kaum interessant, Vollzeit zu arbeiten. Bei einem zusätzlichen Bruttolohn von 10 Euro pro Stunde bleiben für Kinderlose netto nur 2,50 bis 3,90 Euro übrig.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
