Nichts ist umsonst

Mit welchem Recht sollen wir ein Grundeinkommen einführen, das Nichtstun vergolden? Wirksamer wäre es, Arbeit bezahlbarer zu machen. Denn davon gibt es mehr als genug. Ein Kommentar von Alan Posener.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
