Die Welt wird nach Corona ungleicher sein

So weit sich die Lage Anfang August 2020 überblicken lässt, taugt die Corona-Pandemie noch nicht einmal als Egalisierungsmaschine. Belege dafür finden sich auf dem Arbeitsmarkt, in der Bildung und der Literatur.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
