Es braucht eine neue Wirtschaftspolitik, um Krisen wie diese besser zu durchstehen. Wir müssen Arbeit und Finanzen viel widerstandsfähiger machen. Ideen dazu gibt es. Ein Gastbeitrag von Dennis J. Snower.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
