Vorbereiten auf den Umschwung

Kurzarbeit steht auf dem Arbeitsmarkt derzeit hoch im Kurs. Vieles deutet auf einen konjunkturellen Abschwung hin. Dabei ist Politikern in Bund, Land und Kommunen längst bekannt, wie der Industrie zu helfen wäre. Ein Kommentar von Falk Heunemann.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
