Nach 30 Jahren wieder in Lohn und Brot

Das Teilhabechancengesetz fördert Arbeitgeber bei der Integration von Langzeitarbeitslosen. Dass diese Maßnahme Früchte trägt, zeigen Beispiele wie das der 59-jährigen Birgit Rothe, die nach 30 Jahren wieder in Lohn und Brot steht.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
