Langzeitkonten für Weiterbildung – dauert noch

Laut Koalitionsvertrag wollen Union und SPD prüfen, „wie das Instrument der Langzeitkonten mehr Verbreitung finden kann“. Doch die Regierung steckt bei Konten zur Weiterbildung im Prüfstadium fest.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
