Wie lange werden wir arbeiten?

Die Lebensarbeitszeit in den EU-Mitgliedsstaaten wird jedes Jahr ein bisschen länger. Doch was bleibt, sind die großen Unterschiede zwischen den Staaten.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
