Drohende massive Kürzungen für Soziales in der kommenden EU-Förderperiode 2028-2034

Die EU verhandelt aktuell über den mehrjährigen Finanzrahmen (MFR) für die Jahre 2028-2034. Es drohen deutliche Kürzungen für Soziales, z. B. bei der Förderung von diversen Projekten für Bildung, Beschäftigung, Inklusion und Armutsbekämpfung.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
