Armutsbericht: Jeder 4. Bremer ist von Armut betroffen

Laut dem Bericht des Paritätischen Wohlfahrtsverbands ist der Anteil an armen Menschen in keinem Bundesland so groß wie in Bremen. Dazu im Studio: Sozialwissenschaftler René Böhme.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
