Bürgergeld-Ausgaben von 2010 bis Januar 2026

In den 12 Monaten von Februar 2025 bis Januar 2026 wurden vom Bund insgesamt 231 Millionen Euro (0,8 Prozent) weniger als ein Jahr zuvor (Februar 2024 bis Januar 2025) ausgegeben.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
