Drei Millionen Menschen sind in Deutschland arbeitslos gemeldet. Doch Arbeitsagenturchefin Andrea Nahles hält das nicht für das größte Problem. Sie warnt vor den Folgen des Fachkräftemangels.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
