Anteil der Jobs mit Niedriglohn im April 2025 unverändert bei 16 %

Die Niedriglohnquote sank innerhalb von 10 Jahren von 21 % im April 2014 auf 16 % im April 2024. Eine Erklärung ist der Anstieg des gesetzlichen Mindestlohns in diesem Zeitraum von 9,82 Euro auf 12,00 Euro.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
