Der Irrweg der Grundsicherung

Härtere Sanktionen, Leistungsentzug, weniger Vermögensschutz: Die neue Grundsicherung wird die Hoffnungen enttäuschen. Es drohen mehr Arbeitslose und höhere Kosten. Eine Kolumne von Marcel Fratzscher.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
