Sozialstaat gemessen am BIP nicht teurer als 2015

Die Politik diskutiert über den Sozialstaat: Ist er noch finanzierbar, wo kann gespart werden? Daten des Statistischen Bundesamtes zeigen: Gemessen an der Wirtschaftskraft sind die Sozialausgaben des Bundes nicht gewachsen.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
