Im Land Bremen waren im Dezember 2024 durchschnittlich 16,8 Prozent (95.433) der Menschen im Alter von 0 Jahren bis zur gesetzlichen Regelaltersgrenze auf Leistungen zur Sicherung des Lebensunterhalts nach dem SGB II angewiesen.

Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
