Pläne der Bundesregierung zu Veränderungen beim Bürgergeld

Die Bundesregierung prüfe derzeit die Umsetzung der im Koalitionsvertrag zwischen CDU, CSU und SPD angekündigten Reformen im Bereich des Bürgergeldes. Das geht aus ihrer Antwort auf eine Kleine Anfrage der Fraktion Bündnis 90/Die Grünen hervor.

Der eine kriegt einen klugen Kopf, der andere ein schwaches Herz. Der eine ist sein Leben lang gesund, der andere wird mit einer schweren Behinderung geboren. Das Schicksal teilt ungerecht aus; und es gleicht die Ungerechtigkeiten nicht immer aus. Hier hat der Sozialstaat seine Aufgabe. Er sorgt dafür, dass der Mensch reale, nicht nur formale Chancen hat. …

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
