Zahl der Schutzsuchenden im Jahr 2024 um 4 % gestiegen

Mit rund 2,7 Millionen Personen (2023: 2,5 Millionen) verfügte Ende 2024 der Großteil der Schutzsuchenden (82 %) über einen humanitären Aufenthaltstitel und damit über einen anerkannten Schutzstatus.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
