Der Jobmarkt schwächelt. Das könnte künftig die Klischees über Arbeitslose wieder verändern. Die Ambivalenz kennt man aus der Historie von Hartz IV.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
