Bürgergeld nachbessern: Jobcenter-Chef sieht akuten Handlungsbedarf

Beim Bürgergeld-Umbau will die Merz-Regierung die Vermittlung in Arbeit stärken. Lutz Mania, Geschäftsführer des Jobcenters in Berlin-Mitte, sieht dabei noch Handlungsbedarf.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
