Bürgergeld − fordern, fördern, verlieren

Das Bürgergeld war im Wahlkampf ein Reizthema. Doch schon bevor klar ist, was eine neue Regierung daran ändern wird, zeigt der Besuch bei einer alleinerziehenden Mutter: Allein die Debatte darüber hat in der Gesellschaft viel Schaden angerichtet.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
