Deutschland braucht 400.000 Migranten – pro Jahr

Es ist eine Wahrheit, die in diesem Wahlkampf vollkommen ausgeblendet wird. Die deutsche Wirtschaft braucht nicht weniger Migration, um zu bestehen – sondern viel mehr. Eine Kolumne von Marc Fratzscher und Sabine Zinn, DIW Berlin.

Das Schicksal teilt ungerecht aus; und es gleicht die Ungerechtigkeiten nicht immer aus. Hier hat der Sozialstaat seine Aufgabe. Er sorgt dafür, dass der Mensch reale, nicht nur formale Chancen hat. …

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
