Die Bürgergeld-Reform von 2023 – Quelle allen Übels?

Lohnt es sich noch arbeiten zu gehen? Ein genauer Blick auf die Daten zeigt: Die Löhne sind seit 2021 stärker gestiegen als das Bürgergeld, der Lohnabstand ist gewachsen. Also: Ja, es lohnt sich!

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
