Senat ruft Kommission „Sozialleistungen“ ins Leben

Der Senat hat die Senatskommission „Sozialleistungen“ eingesetzt. Sie tagt unter dem Vorsitz von Bürgermeister Andreas Bovenschulte. Ziel der Senatskommission ist, den Zuwachs der Sozialleistungen zu begrenzen.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
