Die Zahl der Arbeitslosen im Land Bremen war im vergangenen Jahr so hoch wie lang nicht mehr. Betroffen sind vor allem Menschen ohne Berufsabschluss.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
