Noch viel Luft nach oben bei der Inklusion auf dem Arbeitsmarkt

Menschen mit Behinderung haben in Deutschland nach wie vor schlechtere Chancen, Jobs zu finden – obwohl das Grundgesetz Diskriminierung wegen Behinderung verbietet. Warum stellen Unternehmen sie so selten ein und wie kann das geändert werden?

Das Schicksal teilt ungerecht aus; und es gleicht die Ungerechtigkeiten nicht immer aus. Hier hat der Sozialstaat seine Aufgabe. Er sorgt dafür, dass der Mensch reale, nicht nur formale Chancen hat. …

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
