Welche Folgen hat Bürgergeld für den Arbeitsmarkt?

Kaum ein Thema polarisiert so wie das Bürgergeld. Vor fast zwei Jahren wurde es eingeführt. Kritiker befürchteten zahlreiche Kündigungen. Wie hat sich die Situation bislang entwickelt?

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
