„Work first“ für Ukrainerinnen?

Andere Länder bringen Geflüchtete viel schneller in Jobs. Dass es hierzulande schlechter gelingt, hat nicht nur dem Bürgergeld zu tun, zeigt eine neue Studie der Konrad-Adenauer-Siftung.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
