Die aktuellen Reformvorschläge der Bundesregierung gehen in die richtige Richtung, legen aber den Schwerpunkt auf Arbeitsrecht und finanzielle Anreize. Wo der Gesetzgeber noch ansetzen und welchen Beitrag die Wirtschaft leisten sollte.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
