Vergiftete Stimmung

Um Migrant:innen im Bürgergeldbezug rankt sich negatives „Storytelling“ in der Sozialpolitik. Dabei wäre der Arbeitsmarkt ohne Zugewanderte schlecht dran. Wie konnte die Stimmung so schnell kippen?

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
