Kinder und Jugendliche im Alter von unter 25 Jahren in SGB-II-Bedarfsgemeinschaften – 2018 bis 2023

Ende 2023 lebten in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland 11,7 Prozent in sogenannten SGB-II-Bedarfsgemeinschaften. In den 16 Ländern reicht diese Quote im Dezember 2023 von 6,0 Prozent in Bayern bis 25,0 Prozent im Land Bremen.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
