Teilhabemöglichkeiten im Job und gute Arbeitsbedingungen positiv für demokratisches Klima

Das zeigt eine neue Studie des Wirtschafts- und Sozialwissenschaftlichen Instituts (WSI) der Hans-Böckler-Stiftung, für die rund 15.000 Erwerbstätige und Arbeitsuchende in zehn EU-Ländern befragt worden sind.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
