Lücke zwischen Regelbedarf (SGB II) und Armutsgefährdungsschwelle 2006 bis 2023-2025

Allein bei einem unveränderten relativen Abstand des Regelbedarfs von der Armutsgefährdungsschwelle auf dem Niveau des Jahres 2006 hätte der Regelbedarf bis 2023 rechnerisch auf 577 Euro statt lediglich auf 502 Euro steigen müssen.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
