Arbeitsmarkt: Vieles gleich, aber alles anders

Die Mitte der 1970er Jahre markierten einen Wendepunkt in der Entwicklung des deutschen Arbeitsmarktes. Die vorangegangenen 1960er und frühen 1970er Jahre waren von Arbeitskräftemangel gekennzeichnet.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
