Das Bürgergeld braucht eine Reform

Die CDU ist sich einig: Das so genannte Bürgergeld in seiner aktuellen Ausgestaltung muss grundüberholt werden. CDA-Chef Karl-Josef Laumann spricht sich entschieden für eine Reform aus. “Das Bürgergeld ist in dieser Form gescheitert.“

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
