Die Welt steht in den kommenden Jahrzehnten vor einem deutlichen Produktivitätssprung. Zu dieser Einschätzung gelangt das Institut für die Geschichte und Zukunft der Arbeit auf Basis einer umfassenden interdisziplinären Studie.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
