Die Debatte um das Bürgergeld und sogenannte „Arbeitsverweigerer“ geht immer weiter. Doch ein Blick auf die Zahlen verrät, wie wenige Arbeitslose einen Job wirklich ablehnen.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
