Erwerbstätigkeit erreicht im Jahr 2023 neuen Höchststand

Im Jahresdurchschnitt 2023 waren rund 45,9 Millionen Menschen mit Arbeitsort in Deutschland erwerbstätig. Das waren so viele wie noch nie seit der deutschen Vereinigung im Jahr 1990.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
