Hubertus Heil will Jobverweigerern das Bürgergeld für zwei Monate streichen. Das spart kaum Geld, verunglimpft Arbeitslose und führt dazu, dass Hartz IV bestehen bleibt.

Demokratie und Sozialstaat gehören zusammen. Die Bürger in einer Demokratie brauchen Ausbildung und Auskommen, sie brauchen eine leidlich gesicherte Existenz. Das Leben wird weiterhin ungerecht beginnen und es wird ungerecht enden. Dass es dazwischen einigermaßen gerecht zugeht – dafür gibt es den Sozialstaat.“
